A new creative hub called Test Space launched in Leeds last week.
The hub, on Melbourne Street, kicked off with live music from Kath and the Mighty Menace, Secret Sirens and Eureka Machines and also featured a gallery exhibiting artists including Joy Gilleard, Martin Jessop, Matt Ferres, Andrew Corlett, Hannah Jones, Lord Whitney, Kayleigh Morris, Joe Whitney, Alice Bradshaw and Stephen Langdon.
Several events were also held over the weekend including impromptu DIY gigs, rapid exhibitions, art market, pop up cafe and film screenings.
Test Space provides event space, gallery, artist studios, office space and creative workspace. The hub offers unique opportunities for emerging creative talent to showcase work, test ideas and develop their work.
Currently renting space are Tom Martin Photography, Brew Records and I Like Press.
Forthcoming events include a series of weekend Flash exhibitions curated by James Schofield, the first Paper Girl Leeds exhibition and a pop up cinema curated and programmed by Test Space.
