BRITISH Cycling are looking to recruit a network of Breeze champions to get more women into the saddle and maybe find the new Victoria Pendleton.
The Breeze network is British Cycling’s new recreation programme to get more women riding a bike and they running a free one day course on Sunday at the Village hotel to train the new champions.
There is no need to be a cycling expert, all you have to is confident on a bike and keen to help others. The course is looking for enthusiastic people to get involved in the Breeze network and inspire other women to get more out on their bike, have fun with friends and get a recognised qualification at the same time.
Becoming a Breeze champion is easy as you take part in take part in a fun one day ride leadership course and the certificate qualifies you to independently plan, deliver and promote rides to groups of women.
In addition to the free training, you will be provided with a Breezekit, British Cycling Ride membership and plenty of support along the way To make sure the champions are able to deliver safe bike rides British Cycling will support you to gain a first aid qualification.
In return British Cycling asks champions to deliver on average 14 rides over the year to local women in their area.
