Published on February 16th 2011.

Sunday Lunch at City Café

Leeds Confidential exclusive offer £10.95 for a heavenly Sunday Lunch

For that you get three courses of divine food in a lovely-looking restaurant by the water in Granary Wharf. City Café Leeds, which is at Mint Hotel, is becoming known as one of the city centre's best eateries. The Yorkshire Evening Post gave it top marks recently, and Yorkshire Life named it City Restaurant of the Year 2010.

The head chef Leah Jenson seems determined to impress – the Sunday Lunch menu gives you a chance to see what all the fuss is about for this exclusive price.

The menu starts with an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring salads, salmon, Spanish charcuterie and baked tarts. Course number two is a main cooked to order from the Kitchen – there'll be a roast joint of the day, roast rump of Scottish beef, and salmon koubliac. Or you can go for a lighter, brunch-style dish from the kitchen – such as pancakes with maple syrup and bacon, eggs benedict, or Scottish smoked salmon on toasted brioche with scrambled eggs.

The final course is a choice of delicious desserts and/or cheeses including classic raspberry and sherry trifle, and chocolate marquis with orange compote.

If you're taking youngsters with you, dessert will probably be the highlight of the meal. There's a 'Kiddies Ice Cream Corner' serving bottomless ice cream to children (and sweet-toothed adults) with the option to have your ice cream in a bowl, in a cone, or with jelly or banana as a split.

There's a selection of home-made ice creams and fat-free frozen yoghurt with a range of toppings (including healthy options) for you and your children to get creative with. Children under five eat for free. Under-eights pay half price.

Whether you make it a family occasion, or just enjoy a lazy lunch with friends, it must be one of the best Sunday dining options in Leeds right now.

Sunday Lunch at City Café is served every Sunday from 1pm to 3pm. To take advantage of the £10.95 offer, just click here.
