THE popularity of Fazenda's South American cuisine has led to the original premises at Granary Wharf enjoying a £500,000 upgrade, bring one third more space and 40 new covers.
Loyal fans of Fazenda will see a subtle and handsome upgrade of the old interior
The original restaurant in the fast-growing dining group has celebrated four successful years. Now the newly-expanded 6,500 sq. ft. restaurant will open again on Friday 19 June after a one week closure for refurbishment.
Loyal fans of Fazenda and its continuous tableside service of delicious grilled meats will see a subtle and handsome upgrade of the old interior - the new design has introduced new features like stucco walls, richer wood, antique mirrors and softer lighting to create an even more welcoming and intimate atmosphere.
Brazilian-Argentinian Tomas Maunier, who worked in marketing before being part of the group who set up the business in 2010, says:
“Our new investment in our Leeds restaurant is based on the growing strength of Granary Wharf as a destination with a high quality offer.
“Since our launch in Leeds, Fazenda has evolved and it was time for Yorkshire people to enjoy our development as a brand and as an experience. We are taking the Leeds restaurant to the next level, the level that people in the city and West Yorkshire deserve.
“They love us here and they have helped build our brand. It’s thanks to them that we have expanded, and so we will always view Leeds as our spiritual home.”
From the beginnings in Granary Wharf, Maunier and his partners have expanded, first into Liverpool, and last year, into Manchester.
The new layout in Leeds now has 158 covers, two private dining rooms for 10 people each and a new larger version of the famously bountiful Fazenda salad bar.
Fazenda is also improving the wine offering with top of the range wine storage from Sub Zero, one of the most prestigious wine storage and refrigeration brands.
