THIS year's Saltaire Festival takes place from 8th to 18th September.
The 2011 event - the ninth - promises the usual varied programme of exhibitions, performances, markets, food and fun.
Regular highlights including the ball, the makers' fair and the schools' celebration return, with new literary and musical talents making a debut for 2011.
More details will be announced as the festival draws near but the invitation is going out now to anyone wanting to help or take part this year.
Saltaire Festival has always been a not-for-profit event run by volunteers but now has full charitable status and wants to continue to develop as it remains true to its aims of being a real community occasion.
"We're very happy to have become a charity," said festival chair Ros Garside. "This presents us with new opportunities but we still rely on people from the community getting involved to make everything happen.
"I want to welcome the new helpers who have come forward since last September and extend the invitation to anyone thinking of volunteering."
