THE Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club is one of Leeds' friendliest and most popular monthly nights. Taking place at The Wardrobe on Friday 23 December, this Christmas Special features a full live set by mighty funk duo Smoove & Turrell. Plus presenter, DJ and actor Craig Charles manning the decks until 3am with the planet's funkiest tunes.

For those of you who don't already know them, Geordie electronic duo Smoove & Turrell are at the head of the pack on the new UK funk and soul scene. Fronted by the fabulously gutsy and gravelly voice of Turrell, they mix up contemporary electronic soul rhythms with old school stylings to wonderful effect.

With an obvious love of northern soul and deep, dancefloor-bumping funk, it's retro-future party music of the highest order. They'll be performing a full live set before Mr Craig Charles takes over on the decks. Expect your Christmas funk cravings to be well and truly satisfied.
